Split riser in a 14-unit loft building
A cold snap cracked a copper riser on the fourth floor and water was running down the stairwell. We isolated the stack, cut out eleven feet of pipe, and had the building back on water before the morning shift. The landlord had us come back and insulate the whole run.

Water heater replacement, 6-unit walk-up
The old 75-gallon tank had been weeping from the base for weeks. We pulled the permit, swapped in a new unit with a fresh expansion tank and pan drain, and hauled the old one down four flights. Hot water back by 4pm.

A 6th Ave restaurant was losing its dinner service to a grease-choked main. Camera survey found the blockage 60 feet out under the sidewalk. Jetted it clean, then set them on a quarterly maintenance schedule so it doesn't happen again.

The neighbor below had a spreading stain. Thermal imaging pointed to a failed shower valve body. We opened a 14-inch square, replaced the valve, and the super patched and retiled it the next day.

New supply and waste for a relocated toilet, a curbless shower, and a double vanity. Coordinated with the tile contractor on the pan slope so the inspection passed first time.

A new tenant smelled gas at the stove. We pressure-tested the run, found a bad union behind the range, replaced it, and filed the certification with the building the same afternoon.
Who shows up
NYC Quality Plumbing started in 2014 out of a single van and a basement workshop on West 30th. Marcus Ellery had spent nine years working for a large Manhattan mechanical contractor and got tired of watching crews tell people "sometime next week" while a ceiling was coming down. He bought a used van, printed cards, and started taking the calls nobody else wanted — the 2am ones, the fifth-floor walk-ups, the buildings where the shutoff valve hasn't turned in thirty years.
Eleven years later it's still a small shop. Two trucks, four plumbers, one office line that rings a real phone. We don't subcontract the emergency work and we don't hand you off to a dispatcher in another state. The person who answers knows which buildings we've already worked in and what the shutoff situation is likely to be before the truck rolls.
We're licensed and insured for plumbing and gas work in all five boroughs, and we pull permits rather than working around them — which matters when you go to sell, or when a co-op board asks for the paperwork. Everything we install carries a two-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's parts coverage.
